From 2010, Mego Museum founder Scott Adams chats with Paul “Dr.Mego” Clarke about Star Trek figures.

DST Bluntman and Chronic Figures out soon
Sources close to us mention that the Bluntman and Chronic figures by Diamond Select/EMCE are set to arrive soon, maybe in time for Christmas. The set even includes the C*ck-Knocker, a character which is way, way down on my “characters played by Mark Hamill that i want in 8″ format” list.
Still, I’m happy for the fans and to see yet another property get the Mego format and it looks EMCE did a nice job as usual, I wish it all the success in the world if only to see Diamond/EMCE take more risks with the 8″ format. *cough* Black Dynamite *cough*
Also, you just know these things will make their way into every scene of the next season of “Comic Book Men”….
You can pre-order all these figures at Entertainment Earth.
Websites: Gabriel Lone Ranger Archive
Plaidstallions hosts the web’s most comprehensive gallery of Gabriel Lone Ranger toys. It’s actually a bit bittersweet seeing as this line needs to be celebrated more, there should be dozens of websites talking about it.
Figures, outfits, playsets, foreign variants, it’s all here at the Gabriel Lone Ranger Archive. Always actively seeking submissions of items they don’t have, spread the love!
Mego Meet Superheroes Display
Fantastic Photo from a Mego Meet, a drool-worthy gathering of all original MOC Superhero goodness, likely not to be repeated.
MegoMeet 2015 is being announced soon, check out their facebook page for more.
How to: Degrey a Mego Head
It’s not news but it’s always worth repeating. If you’ve got Mego figures with the dreaded “Mego Molt” (and who doesn’t amiright?) then the Mego Museum has a step by step process that will be zombify your dolls.
New goodies at 8inchsuperstore.com
8 inch super store has a treasure trove of new items including heads, guns, boots and a brown type s body that should be of interest to any mego-head. Check it out before it’s all gone.

Toy Show Alert: Two Shows in Toronto this weekend
It’s a busy weekend if you’re a South Central Ontario resident (like me)
First the Annual Toronto Toy Show is Sunday
Sunday, November 23, 2014
The Toronto Collectors Show
The International Centre, 6900 Airport Rd. Mississauga, ON, Hall 2
Hours: 10 am – 4 pm
Admission: $12, Kids 6-12: $4, under 6: free
This used to be THE toy show when I was younger, in fact it was the first toy show I ever attended in 1986. It’s kind of faded from it’s former glory but I still find some deals there.
Sunday, November 23, 2014
East End ToyCon
Ajax Community Centre, 75 Centennial Rd., Ajax, Ontario
Hours: 10 am – 5 pm
Admission $5, kids 10 and under free
for more info email eastendtoycon@gmail.com
A toy show in Durham Region (about 20 minutes east of Toronto proper) this one holds hope for me, as I know of at least two dealers going who bring some really decent vintage, plus it’s so close to my house I could show up in my bathrobe.
New Contest at the Mego Museum
The Mego Museum’s newsletter just came out and it has a contest to win a mint on card Amy Farrah Fowler from Bif Bang Pow. All you have to do is subscribe to enter, if you’re already a subscriber, you’re in. Cool beans!
Ebay: Boxed Mighty Mightor
My family won’t mind that the trip to Disney is cancelled, they’ll understand that this is a giant gap in daddy’s collection. Right?
It’s available here if your family is more understanding than mine.
Video: Mego Meet Micronauts Display
This is an amazing bit of “Micronaut love” from 2008 on display at the annual Mego Convention Mego Meet.
Where will Mego Meet beheld this year? Like them on Facebook to find out!
Cancelled Lines: Playing Mantis Action Jackson Wave 3
I swear that I was the only guy who liked this line when it was available and I still stand by how fun it was. The Playing Mantis reboot of Action Jackson proposed third wave of figures would have included an Animal Wrangler (complete with rubber snakes), a parachutist (that worked) and a WW2 soldier and FRIGGING JEEP!
Sadly, it was all for naught, PM closed it’s doors not long after. The wonderful woman who ran their message boards gave me the AJ catalog for all of this but it’s lost to bottomless pit that is my filing cabinet….
Weep with me!
Ebay: Doctor Krome Dome MegoMeet Exclusive
These don’t change hands much, the 2009 Mego Meet exclusive was an 8 inch version of Doctor Kromedome, complete with a really neat replica box. This figure was a labour of love done by many members of the Mego community.
World’s Greatest Toys now available as a download
Good News! Long out of print, the exhaustive study of Mego Superheroes by Benjamin Holcomb is now available in a digital version. Not as good as holding it in your hands but at $13.95, a heck of a good deal.
Ebay: Ideal Justice League Rubb’r Niks
Not technically Mego this set from 1967 is one of the earliest Justice League toys in existence and is interesting just on the level that it’s toy and comic history. I’d love to own it but there is this whole thing called a “marriage” that I enjoy…..
Customs: Riddler Mania
This was posted to the Mego Museum Message boards by the ever talented Austin. It’s no riddle that these are awesome.
