Figures Toy Company puts Monkee on my back
Mego Museum broke the news today that three sets of 8 inch and one set of 12 inch action figures of the Monkees are now up for grabs.
I was planning on passing but GAAAAHHHH they look fantastic and well, this was my favourite after school show in 1976 (prime mego buying years) so the little kid inside of me wants these and he won’t shut up about it.

Cyber Monday Deals at Entertainment Earth
The sales this season at EE have made me a little tired but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re giving some great deals on Bif Bang Pow figures from Twilight Zone, Dexter, Penny Dreadful and the Six Million Dollar man right now. A totally different assortment from the previous two sales.
We’re finally getting the Riddler in a bowler hat
The MegoMuseum broke the news yesterday about this Emerald City Comic’s exclusive Riddler figure from the 1966 Batman series. Unlike past exclusive Figures Toy Company items, ECC went all out and had a new head sculpted and it’s pretty damned righteous.
Such good deeds deserve reward:

NECA announces Bill and Ted
The MegoMuseum newsletter revealed this week that NECA has teased (very) early shots of the Bill and Ted retro figures.
I’m fond of the original film but I don’t need these. I will say though, it’s a bloody good idea and these will likely sell.
Now Freaked action figures is a different story……
So just how many Super Friends are we getting from Figures Toy Company?
Mego Museum got the exclusive scoop from Figures Toy Company on their Zan, Jayna and Gleek three pack last Friday, but to me the bigger scoop is the back of the card revealing the entire line up and wow, this is my dream in 1978…

Kresge Series 3 Now at EE
I was tempted by the earlier offerings but resisted, even though I love the Kresge designs but this wave with 3 all new characters is another matter…..
And the fifth Marvel Mego Set is……
Deadpool and from what I see on the side of his box at SDCC, the Punisher and a second Spider-Man set are due next.
I’m pretty oblivious of this character but I do know that he is really, really popular. Sure I want a Green Goblin set super bad but I’m going to trust Diamond that they probably looked at the sales of their other Deadpool merch and decided he was a solid bet.
I know some Mego fans aren’t thrilled with this choice but honestly, I’ve never been upset about not spending money, so i don’t get that.
MegoMuseum has an exclusive first look at the figures which do look really nice, more here.
NECA Home Alone
NECA promised 15 new ReMego figures and while many of us old timey guys were hoping for more Apes and Monsters, the first thing out of the gate is Home Alone.
This is not for me personally but what excites me about this announcement is the next twelve figures could be absolutely anything. Come on Fletch!
EMCE Star Trek lives
According to the latest Mego Museum newsletter that spoke to Diamond Select Toy’s Zach Oat the ReMego Trek figures are getting rebooted with Kirk and Klingon followed by Spock and Khan wave (but not a Chaka Khan wave sadly)
They have bigger plans but I’ll let you read them in this week’s Mego Museum newsletter:

FTC shows us Super Friends Superman
Out of the blue this image popped up on FTC’s facebook page. I think the biggest surprise for me is the expression, to me the Super Friends are all about smiles. This isn’t a deal breaker for me. These look like they were taken with an iphone in China, so i look forward to the official photography on this series.

Distinctive Dummies unleashes the Hideous Sun Demon
The mad geniuses at DD have created another classic obscure monster figure masterpiece with the Hideous Sun Demon based on the film of the same name.
It will soon be available at their website Distinctivedummies.net but only for a limited time (as always).
Entertainment Earth shows us it’s big…. Richard
Sorry, that was weak, even for me. Entertainment Earth unveiled an exclusive 18″ Removable Cowl Robin from Figures Toy Company yesterday.
I really like the idea of these, I’m not sure how many I can afford to buy (both cash and space are a rare commodity) but as Benjamin Holcomb recently mentioned, the grand size of these does make you feel like a kid again.
