This week Vintage Mego unboxed The Mangler, released by Mego in 1976 as part of their Comic Action Heroes line of toys, it has the distinction of being one of the weirdest Superhero toys ever produced.
Seriously, what is this thing? Wouldn’t it kill the Green Goblin? We’ll never truly know.
Introduced in 1975 by Mego as an attempt to get that “Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots” money, the Fist Fighting Superheroes by Mego were a worldwide phenomenon that created many variations in the United Kingdom and in Mexico.
This episode of Vintage Mego talks about the US versions of the Fist Fighters but also takes a look at the efforts of Toltoys, Palitoy Bradgate and Lili ledy.
Special thanks to Eddie Berst, Jesus Magana and the Toltoys kid for their awesome generosity and kindness in creating this episode.
While the Mego World’s Greatest Superheroes is one of the successful toylines of all time, it like any other toyline, did have a fair share of items that didn’t make it into production. Vintage Mego takes a look at a few Superhero items that just didn’t make the cut.
Which one of these do you wish got made? Let us know in the comments!
