Yeah so, as promoted here, this weekend was the annual Toronto Toy Show which at one point was THE EVENT in Canada. My how times have changed, read my thoughts and see some of the Mego sightings after the jump.

My family won’t mind that the trip to Disney is cancelled, they’ll understand that this is a giant gap in daddy’s collection. Right?

World’s Greatest Toys now available as a download
Good News! Long out of print, the exhaustive study of Mego Superheroes by Benjamin Holcomb is now available in a digital version. Not as good as holding it in your hands but at $13.95, a heck of a good deal.
Ebay: Ideal Justice League Rubb’r Niks
Not technically Mego this set from 1967 is one of the earliest Justice League toys in existence and is interesting just on the level that it’s toy and comic history. I’d love to own it but there is this whole thing called a “marriage” that I enjoy…..
Mego Custom Spotlight: Black Spider-Man
This week the spotlight falls on Killer Iguana’s version of black Spider-Man. Sometimes the simplest customs are the hardest to pull-off, and black Spidey falls in that category. KI’s version is very believable as an 80s Mego offering.
