Mego Museum launched another video short this week and it’s a look at the Comic Action Heroes Mangler. One of the weirdest toys to come out of Mego. Basically, it’s point is to murder the Green Goblin, that is dark.

Three new DC Figures Revealed at Figures Toy Company
If you’re into Mego and DC Comics, then Christmas just came early as Figures Toy Company just released shots of their 8 inch versions of Harley Quinn, Scarecrow and Mary Marvel figures on their facebook page.
Personally I’m pretty pumped for these, especially more female heroes.
Lots of discussion going on at the Figures Toy Company message board that’s part of the Mego Museum.
You can preorder these at the Figures Toy Company website.
Mego Museum Looks Inside the Mego Factory
Apologies for the double linking, the MegoMuseum URL is having some issue with Facebook and we’re not really sure why. If you’re an expert on FB and like us, drop us a line.
Every Mego collector has probably wondered at one point what the Mego factory looked like and how everything was made. Thanks to this rare document (the 1978 Mego International Shareholders Report to be exact, which we’ll soon share) we have a glimpse into the Hong Kong wonderland that was Lion Rock.

The Mego Board Room in 1977
This little gem appeared in the Mego Museum Newsletter last week (Subscribe Here!)
“This rare picture from 1977 shows where all the magic happened, the Mego boardroom with notables such as President Martin Abrams, VP Neal Kublan, Product Design Manager Vinnie Baiera, Art director Marty Harrison and founder D. David Abrams in attendance.
I’d love to know what they were discussing that day.“
Distinctive Dummies unleashes the Night Stalker
When i woke up this morning I had no inclination that it would be an expensive day but that was before Distinctive Dummies announced a small run of figures based on Kolchak: The Night Stalker. I’ve been waiting years for Carl.
http://www.distinctivedummies.net/kolchak.html
If Carl wasn’t enough, there is also The Night Strangler from the TV Movie of the same name.

Aaaaaannnd a Two Pack of Karl and Janos that I must own Dammit!

As always get them now because once they’re gone, they ain’t coming back.
Twisted Mego Theatre: X-Mas Bloody X-Mas
From issue #30- I guess it’s too late for the exclusive “Seven of Nine” figure but we can still laugh at this, more after the jump:
Twisted Mego Theatre: The Great Jawa Hunt!
Man you can not reach farther back than this, from Issue #2 we have the Great Jawa Hunt written by the Toyfare Staff. More after the jump.
And the fifth Marvel Mego Set is……
Deadpool and from what I see on the side of his box at SDCC, the Punisher and a second Spider-Man set are due next.
I’m pretty oblivious of this character but I do know that he is really, really popular. Sure I want a Green Goblin set super bad but I’m going to trust Diamond that they probably looked at the sales of their other Deadpool merch and decided he was a solid bet.
I know some Mego fans aren’t thrilled with this choice but honestly, I’ve never been upset about not spending money, so i don’t get that.
MegoMuseum has an exclusive first look at the figures which do look really nice, more here.
Twisted Mego Theater: Shanks for the Memories
I really miss Toyfare magazine and thumb through old copies now and then. I don’t miss the “What’s Hot” mentality (BTW those Malebogias in your garage will never pay for your kid’s college) and the rock star adoration of certain toy sculptors got a bit gross at times but Twisted Mego Theatre was always worth the cost of an issue for me.
Sophmoric at times but also damned funny, I’m going to add as many as i can to ol’ Mego Central. Here from issue #56 is “Shanks for the Memories”.
If you’d like to join in with some scans, I’d be in your debt, I gave the majority of mine to Goodwill a while ago.
EMCE Star Trek lives
According to the latest Mego Museum newsletter that spoke to Diamond Select Toy’s Zach Oat the ReMego Trek figures are getting rebooted with Kirk and Klingon followed by Spock and Khan wave (but not a Chaka Khan wave sadly)
They have bigger plans but I’ll let you read them in this week’s Mego Museum newsletter:
