I’m talking Power Rangers! I’m talking Ultra-Man and his many, many brothers and my personal favourite Kamen Rider and his arch enemies. Popy World Heroes are the kind of crazy the world needs.

Vintage Mego this week explores a figure that is on a lot of collector’s want lists, from 1978 we present the Zorro figure made for the UK market by Palitoy Bradgate. We have a lot more questions than answers but that is part of the fun of collecting Mego!

Welcome to Custom Mego Creations, a new series of “ how to” videos aimed at Mego Collectors and customizers. Since our inception over 20 years ago, the MegoMuseum has always embraced custom figures. Still working on resurrecting Megolike.com (although the facebook page is still up and running) in the meantime, here’s another line of modern figures that rocked out world. Slightly taller (at ten inches but then Mego made a few of those too) the Medicom RAH figures were gorgeous and flipping pricey back in the day. Now? I’m picking them up for $20 a piece. The Adventurer was a blow molded (ie cheap) doll and outfit set that shared a lot of parts with Mego’s Action Jackson (many of the outfits are identical and bear the Mego trademark) and then some of the outfits got really whacky, making us wonder what was meant by “adventure”. More after the jump:
Insanely rare catalog shot of the Famous Monsters of Legend, Star Raiders and Creatures from Other Worlds figures from the 1979 Tomland Toys Catalog. Anybody have the 1980 or 81, I’d love to see them.
