Mego Museum broke the news today that three sets of 8 inch and one set of 12 inch action figures of the Monkees are now up for grabs.

I was planning on passing but GAAAAHHHH they look fantastic and well, this was my favourite after school show in 1976 (prime mego buying years) so the little kid inside of me wants these and he won’t shut up about it.

Emerald City offers Robin Exclusive

EmeraldCity_YellowSleeveRobin

Mego Museum gets the exclusive on this new ECC exclusive. Everybody and their brother saw this yellow variant coming but making it a limited edition seems like a great idea as it’s super niche.

This Kresge version will be limited to 700 units and available in January. Which makes me wonder, what else is arriving in January.

The Adventurer was a blow molded (ie cheap) doll and outfit set that shared a lot of parts with Mego’s Action Jackson (many of the outfits are identical and bear the Mego trademark)  and then some of the outfits got really whacky, making us wonder what was meant by “adventure”.  More after the jump:

Another from the Mego Like Archive: Heroes of Desert Storm were yet another rebranding of the Mego Lion Rock World War 2 figures that were sold in the late 70s.

They really got a ton of mileage out of these molds….

Mego Museum gets the scoop on the New Teen Titans

Mego Museum has exclusive first look at the cyborg prototype from Figures Toy Company

Been late to the game but the Mego Museum has the scoop on the New Teen Titans Cyborg and Nightwing. While the praise is pretty unanimous for Cyborg, fans are mixed on the open mouth look of Nightwing. Put me in the “Like” camp on that one but to each their own.

Figures Toy Company Exclusive Batman set is on sale today

Entertainment Earth has a spanking promotion running today in the form of their 1966 Batman Exclusive set from the Figures Toy Company, it’s 30 percent off which makes it a decent price.

I know a lot of collectors grumbled about the price initially, so this is a nice break if you’re still into “collecting them all!”
