Lasermego brings back the Fantasticar for Mego Meet

Four years ago, Laser Mego made a small amount of these working (and let’s face it, amazing) Fantasticars for the annual Mego Meet Convention. They sold out in an hour and were never heard from again.

Until now, where we get news that they’ve added this new version to the 2015 Aw Yeah Mego Meet Customs Auction (which we’ll spotlight all this week).

Does this mean more will be made available at the show? We have no idea if there will be, one thing is certain though, if you want one, you should be at Aw Yeah Mego Meet 2015 next Saturday.

FTC shows us Super Friends Superman

Out of the blue this image popped up on FTC’s facebook page. I think the biggest surprise for me is the expression, to me the Super Friends are all about smiles. This isn’t a deal breaker for me. These look like they were taken with an iphone in China, so i look forward to the official photography on this series.

Mego Meet 2015 is almost here, come play this June 6th!

Foreign: Popy TV Heroes

These TV Heroes were Japan’s answer to the Mego Craze in the 1970s, covering Japan’s most popular and current TV heroes of the day. From Left to Right, Kamen Rider V3, Gatchaman Ken Owashi, Kamen Rider Ichigo, Battle Keyna, Battle France, Battle Cossack, Battle Japan, Ultra Seven, Ultaman Jonias, Ultra man.

Facts:The rarest figures in the series seem to be Keyna, France and Cossack. Battle Japan is the “Mr Myxlptlk” of the group and can be found for under $100 if you’re patient.

Ultra Seven and Ultraman are very prone to suit damage, their outfits are made of a delicate material and glued together, they were not built to last. Jonias has spandex type outfit and is easily found for a reasonable price.

Popy crafted their own body (which is slimmer than the standard Mego body) and can be seen below:

Entertainment Earth shows us it’s big…. Richard

Sorry, that was weak, even for me. Entertainment Earth unveiled an exclusive 18″ Removable Cowl Robin from Figures Toy Company yesterday.

I really like the idea of these, I’m not sure how many I can afford to buy (both cash and space are a rare commodity) but as Benjamin Holcomb recently mentioned, the grand size of these does make you feel like a kid again.

Dukes of Hazzard Wave 2 at Figures Toy Company

FTC_DOH_S2_8inBC_CletusHogg

Bam! without warning this week Figures Toy Company announced Dukes of Hazzard wave 2 by showing off the figures and taking pre-orders which had a lot of fans really excited. I’m by no means a Dukes fan but I can understand how cool it is to get the anicliary characters.

More shots after the jump, to pre-order directly from FTC please visit their site
